Co-skippers Sara Stone and Cat Hunt deliver impressive results aboard the Sun Fast 3300 racing from Bermuda to Newport, RI in the New York Yacht Club’s inaugural sailing regatta, the Newport Short-Handed Return. ABOUT THE SKIPPERS

SARA STONE

At just 29 years old, Sara Stone is no stranger to ocean racing having just completed the Newport Bermuda Race as a coach/navigator for the MudRatz Youth Sailing Team aboard SPITFIRE (the first youth team to cross the line!). Stone is a professional sailor having raced in a wide variety of boats including 49ers, M32s, T52s, and Class 40s.

CAT HUNT

Cat Hunt, just 23, is a British Short-handed offshore sailor who holds the World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of Ireland by two people and has an extensive resume of offshore races including 2nd place in the 2019 RORC Transatlantic Race.
