Fast is fun! From the first drawings, the SUN FAST 26 has stimulated the minds of all sailors with its inclusion of the latest go-fast technologies : large-roach mainsail, bowsprit, asymmetrical spinnaker, bulb keel. These have allowed the new generation of sailboats to go even faster than hull-speed limits. Taking from the above, Jeanneau and Philippe Briand have succeeded with their latest production sailboat : one that is fun, and fast. The numbers say a lot with 6,77m / 22' 4' waterline, 1,50m / 4'10'draft, and 35m2 / 377 ft2 of sail area. Thanks to a ballast of 780 kg/1650 lb. and most of all to a deck beam of 2,97m / 9' 6', the boat is stable and uses crew weight efficiently. In addition, the twin rudders help control the quick hull with less drag while the boat is heeled. When flying the asymmetrical spinnaker, the bowsprit keeps the sail flying free and easy, and the high-tech hardware including multiple purchase systems and ball-bearing blocks show the level of perfection and attention to detail, and the passion for performance in the eye of the designers Fast is fun.
