Sun Odyssey 33

Sun Odyssey 33

A tour of the Sun Odyssey 33 will leave you wondering whether you are indeed aboard a 33-footer as you ponder how a sailboat of this size can offer such a degree of comfort and so much living space and, above all, how cozy you feel aboard the yacht. This is the only yacht with 4 rooms under 10 meters long and smitten is the word to describe the feeling as you picture yourself set up aboard. A quick look at her polar profiles for speed proves that a yacht can be both fast and comfortable. Daniel Andrieu's quest was to design a yacht with character that would not only have potential for speed, but also a responsive helm and that all important living space when at sea. Under sail, everything has been designed to offer no-hassle, simple sailing: a relaxed cockpit area fre of the main traveller and roofmounted winches, factory-fitted wheel, recessed rigging, and genoa-furling gear that is tucked away under the deck line (furling main as an optional extra. When at a mooring, the accent is on-free-and-easy lifestyle with sundeck forward, spacious cockpit with removable table (optional extra) and easy swimming via the transom extension with its built-in-swimladder. Broad side-decks make for hindrance-free movement force and aft. You will be amazed at the amount of living space aboard the Sun Odyssey 33. The saloon is quite spacious and features a settee that converts to a double berth, ample headroom, and no fewer than eleven hatches and ports which ventilate and bathe the interior in light. The 3-Cabin version which accomodate up to eight, each of the cabins offers a high degree of comfort with large hanging-locker, ample floor space and ventilation via portholes.
The " American-style " in-line galley has been designed to offer a wide range of stowage areas. In this version, it is always possible to make use of the sallon as a fully-closed off area thanks to the tranck-mounted settee;
Aboard the 2-cabin version, the saloon is appointed athwartships and a large L-shaped galley located to port: large worksurface, gimballed stove, stowage drawers and lockers à a plus for the whole crew.
Whether aboard the 2 or 3 à cabin version, the yacht is commodious and ingeniously conceived from navigation station to washroom. The skilful craftsmanship of the finish with its solid teak moulding and fascia is a truly beautiful sight.
