Jeanneau sailboats delivered an impressive performance in Australia on the occasion of the 2014 Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, one of the biggest and most famous nautical events in Australia. This coastal regatta takes place each summer, for one week in August, attracting skippers from around the world.
This year, Jeanneau sailboats were handsomely rewarded for their performance there, most notably for the victory of the Sun Odyssey 469, “L’Esprit,” competing in the second division of the “Cruising” category. During the last two races out of six, “L’Esprit” dominated the competition by establishing the best time in both divisions 1 and 2. Additionally, third places were taken by Sun Odyssey 49i “Encore” in second division and Sun Odyssey 40.3 “Oasis” in third division, and fourth places were taken by Sun Odyssey 509 “Smooth Operator” in first division and Sun Odyssey 42i “Joie de Vie” in third division.
Combining speed and performance, the seaworthy qualities of Jeanneau are internationally renowned, recognised in locations as distant as Australia. A beautiful tribute for the historic Sun Odyssey line!
