Jeanneau owners meet at 43° South

The Jeanneau owners from the Australian island of Tasmania gathered for a weekend of friendly racing and fun in early February. No less than 16 Sun Odyssey and one Merry Fisher accepted the invitation from Boat Sales Tasmania, who has the particularity to be Jeanneau's most southern distributor.

The fleet gathered in the famous D'Entrecastaux Channel on saturday at noon for a cheese and pate degustation, providing forces to the crews for the upcoming friendly regatta... in dead calm - proof that the Forties are not always roaring in Hobart.
The Jeanneau boats then headed towards Bruny island and anchored in a beautiful cove. A festive dinner was organised on shore and the best crew of the day was presented with the "Golden Anchor" award.
Late at night crews got back on board their boats and enjoyed a beautiful calm night in the comfort of their berths. After a hearty breakfast served on shore the next morning, each boat headed back to its home port. Everybody had a great time and the idea of a local owners' club germinated to repeat such gatherings in the future.
