Sailboat races are not simply competitions; they embody a love of the sea and a desire to surpass oneself.  Each race is a unique experience, where mastery of the wind and the elements creates unforgettable moments.  This year, once more, these major sailing events invite us to share a timeless passion, from performance to pure sailing pleasure.

Whether you are at the helm, a crew member, or simply a spectator, there is something magical in these races.

APRIL 2025 : 

Spi Ouest-France

Dates:  April 18th through the 21st, 2025
Location: La Trinité-sur-Mer

Considered the biggest springtime race for racer-cruisers in Europe, this event marks the opening of the sailboat racing season on the Atlantic coast.

SNIM

Dates: April 18th through the 21st, 2025
Location: Marseille

Organised by the Société Nautique de Marseille, the SNIM (International Mediterranean Nautical Week) is a major regional sailing race, created in 1966.

It traditionally takes place over Easter weekend and welcomes monohulls of various classes for coastal and offshore races.

The event is renowned for its friendly, festive atmosphere, combining competition with celebration.

 

MAY 2025 :

Tour de Belle-Île

Date: May 9th, 2025
Location: La Trinité-sur-Mer
After four years’ absence, this emblematic race is returning, bringing together amateurs and professional sailors on a course around Belle-Île-en-Mer.  

Created in 2008, the Tour de Belle-Île has rapidly become one of the biggest sailboat races in France, gathering amateur and professional sailors at the same starting line. 

Each year, nearly 400 boats and 2,000 sailors gather on the Bay of Quiberon to share their passion for sailing in a friendly, festive atmosphere.  

The race features two courses adapted to different experience levels.

Armen Race Uship

Dates : May 28th through June 1st, 2025
Location: La Trinité-sur-Mer

This offshore regatta features a circuit of 350 nautical miles on the Bay of Biscay, passing by the Ar-Men lighthouse, Belle-Île, and the Île d'Yeu.

A shorter itinerary, perfect for amateur coastal racers, is offered around the Glénan islands. 


JULY 2025 :

Tour de Groix

Date : July 5th, 2025
Location: Lorient

Le Tour de Groix, organised by the Centre Nautique de Lorient (CNL), is an annual regatta that is not to be missed, gathering amateur and professional sailors for a race around the island of Groix.

Open to all classes, from small racer-cruisers to large racing sailboats.

This permits each participant, whether a seasoned racer or a weekend sailor, to participate in this competition. 

Rolex Fastnet Race (united-kingdom)

Date : July 26th, 2025
Location: Cowes – Cherbourg

The Rolex Fastnet Race is one of the most emblematic offshore races, created in 1925. 

Organised every two years by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), it leaves from Cowes, England, rounds the famous Fastnet Rock off the coast of Ireland, and finishes in Cherbourg, France.

Like the Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac, this regatta gathers between 300 and 400 sailboats, including models of all sizes.

The event is renowned for its spirit of camaraderie and competition, representing the values of innovation and quality that characterise the Jeanneau family.

 

SEPTEMBER 2025 :

DoubleHanded Offshore Series

Dates : September 7th through the 13th, 2025
Lieu : Italy

The Double Handed Offshore Series (OS) is a series of races designed to encourage short-handed sailing.  

This double-handed offshore race circuit favours strategy and management of double-handed sailing.
The event attracts skippers and crew of different experience levels, and the races take place over several days, with varied courses adapted to the local conditions and the skills of participants.  

The Double Handed Offshore Series is renowned for its spirit of camaraderie and competition, reflecting the values of the Jeanneau family.

Atlantique Télégramme

Dates: September 19th through the 21st, 2025
Location: Lorient

The 25th edition of this regatta gathers amateurs and semi-professional sailors for three days of competition and sharing

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez (France)

Dates : September 27th through October 5th, 2025
Location: Saint Tropez

Founded in 1981 following a friendly challenge between two skippers, and known as “Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez” since 1999, this historic competition has become an important event on the sailboat racing calendar.

The regatta attracts between 250 and 300 sailboats each year, offering exhilarating races over several days.

 

OCTOBER - NOVEMBER 2025:

SNT Fall Challenge Races

Location: La Trinité-sur-Mer

This training regatta, preparing crews for the next season, is organized by the Société Nautique de la Trinité-sur-Mer.

The 2025 Fall Challenge Races will take place on the following dates: 
 

- 1st Leg:  October 11th and 12th, 2025 
- 2nd Leg:  October 25th and 26th, 2025
- 3rd Leg:  November 8th and 9th,  2025
- 4th Leg:  November 22nd and 23rd, 2025

This is the ideal occasion for crews to perfect their skills and prepare for the 2026 season in a friendly setting.
