An iconic Jeanneau sailboat, the Sun Odyssey 440 continues to delight sailing enthusiasts around the world, enabling them to experience pure cruising pleasure on the water.
In December, the production facility in Cholet, France celebrated the 500th Sun Odyssey 440 as it left the shipyard.
Antoine Guerrier, Director of Sailboat Marketing, explains the reasons for this success:
The Sun Odyssey 440 is a boat with powerful, well balanced, contemporary hull, combining performance and comfort at sea, for longer cruises. This is the first sailboat that integrated a walkaround deck, enabling fluid movement on board and ease of handling. This innovation has become a true signature of the line.
To bring this proven design into being, the Sun Odyssey 440 goes through a meticulous manufacturing process conducted with savoir-faire by our crew: over 3,000 pieces are selected with the greatest care, and 450 work hours are necessary for the creation of each sailboat.
